fatmanintweed.com { 2005-2006 }

My client, Chris Jordan wanted a bit of his own personal webspace to play in.

I, being the blossoming webdesigner I was last summer, was delighted to design him a little something to make his playground of a website really sleek.

Beginning with his initial requirements of green on a black background, my first step was to come up with a collection of preliminary designs for the site and show them to Chris. He decided he liked this one the best:

He particularly liked the barcode effect, and provided some quite innovative ideas about how to combine that effect with the navigation of the site. The final design looks like so:

The design was finished on January 13, 2006. The site went live on February 20, 2006.

notes

Chris Jordan and I are collaborating on a few non-web projects, such as Starcustard, a story about a little girl named Hydrogen. You can also read Starcustard in its black and green version on fatmanintweed.com, or on its own Starcustard blog.
